James Allison, the Principal, has over thirty years experience in the aquatic trade. His passion for ponds and watergardens began in his youth and led on to qualifications in Biology (B.Sc. Hons) and Applied Hydrobiology (M.Sc.). The expertise gained has proved invaluable in understanding the principles of well-balanced water garden ecology.

Early years managing one of the UK’s leading aquatic retailers gave him further hands-on experience dealing with water garden equipment, plants and fish, specifying items for projects by landscapers, garden designers and homeowners.

For over twenty years, construction projects, consultancy and annual equipment servicing have been carried out on all sizes of water gardens from water features in town gardens through to small lakes in the countryside. James Allison is personally involved in all projects. Water Garden Solutions also frequently works on projects alongside customers’ own builders/landscapers and architects/designers.

Regions covered

The office is based in Cheltenham, on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Water garden project, equipment installation and filtration work are carried out in Gloucestershire and the closer parts of the surrounding counties of Wiltshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Oxfordshire and Avon.

Consultancy work and presentations are undertaken for clients throughout the UK and internationally.
